Grammy-Nominated Producer Sonny Digital's Fave Spots to Unwind in ATL

compiled by Christopher Lowery
There is no such thing as idle time for Sonny Digital. Hailing from Atlanta, the hip-hop producer is only 21 and is responsible for some of radio's biggest hits from Future's “Same Damn Time” and YC’s “Racks,” to 2 Chainz' “Birthday Song,” which earned him his first Grammy nomination. As if his production catalog isn’t enough, Sonny tells VIBE he will be expanding his empire, going from Pro Tools to the microphone when he releases the “Forbes Atlanta” mixtape with his brother, Q, in the spring. For this budding music producer there’s really no slowing down. When he's not churning out radio smashes and flying around the globe, Sonny's unwinding at some of his favorite spots in his hometown Atlanta. Check out where he likes to lay low and find out which sneaker spot he was introduced to by Trinidad James (who ironically used to work there).

Ginza Boutique

“Trinidad James used to actually work at that store. He’s the one that put me on to that store, so I just built up my relationship with them.”
Editorial Review
An urban boutique in ATL that will have you dusting off your shoulders and feeling like a G. Limited selection of inventory so choose wisely--it might not be there when you come back. The decor is dope; painted mural, wooded floor. Whatever the style, Ginza probably has it on lock. Interesting fact: before Trinidad James was poppin' molly's and painting the charts gold with his ratchet anthem, he was working at this boutique stacking coin.
